This past weekend I was honored to facilitate 16 women in a workshop called Painting As a Spiritual Practice. Each time I offer a workshop, I am amazed at the profound transformational healing power that happens for participants as they perform the sacred practice of putting paint to paper as a!

In 2016, while at an artist in residency at OCHO art center in NM, I explore working with a press.
Although I thought I would spend my time painting in the wide open desert; I fell in love with making collagraph prints with Plants.
Since then, I have been saving up for a baby etching press which finally came this week!
I've been home with a cold all weekend, but I had a few hours of feeling perky and made my first test print of a Snowdrop.

Imagine you have a super power.
This super power awakens and enlivens you, opens your imagination, and gives you a wider perspective on life. You actually do have a super power, that was in full bloom when you were a child. Creativity is your super power. Remember how your imagination ran free — and you were open to all possibilities? For some of us, this super power gets tucked away — just like our favorite stuffed animal from childhood — as if it’s frivolous and non-essential.
Women’s Intuition. Throughout history, in tribal cultures and in spiritual traditions, women have been seen as the keepers of intuition.
I grew up on the ocean, in a family of fisher-people. In a nautical family, we are always aware of the moon’s cycles, because they govern the tides. As far back as I can remember, I was taught to trust and to rely on signs from Nature.
Last year, I was camping on the eastern edge of Yosemite National Park, in the Sierra Mountains. One gorgeous sunny day, I decided to put down the jasmine tea that I was sipping, and meditate. My request: to be more open-hearted and aware.
