Over the past year, I’ve had a sticky note on my altar to remind me of two shamanic journeys to do. One journey was to heal my heart. The other, to open my heart.

Today, I was compelled to start my creative process with a shamanic journey, with the intention was to heal-open my heart.

Do you know that our Helping Spirits/Higher Self share information to us in metaphors. (Just like the intuitive, creative process!)

In the journey, my heart was removed, and the area around my heart was black. I perceived the black as the stuff that’s blocking from living with an open heart. I asked to have the blackness removed, and I was told: “NO, it can’t go away, it’s part of you.”

How about clearing my heart? “Your heart is fine. The light or the lack of, or the intensity of your light: bright or dull, is also part of you. You need to know that this darkness, this sludge, that you perceive as a problem; the bright and not so bright of your heart, is also an expression of you. There’s nothing to do except accept you, for exactly how you are.”

Lesson: Love all parts of you. Bring all the aspects of you into the fold.

With this metaphor. This learning in my heart. I allowed the paint to express what I feel so that I can feel deeper. Understand more. These parts of me.

Can you invite your Body Wisdom to touch the bright the dull, the dark, the fearful, the elected parts of you and paint them into oneness?
